2004 National U18 Club Championship

PACIFIC 5 - HOST 2

Bronze Medal Game
April 25, 2004
Kenora, ON

In the Bronze medal game, the Red Deer Chiefs took on the host team, Kenora Stars. Kenora opened the scoring late in the first period with a goal by team captain, Dan MacIntyre to give the Stars a 1-0 lead going into the second period. But after that, it was Red Deer who did most of the scoring, rallying with five straight goals, four of them coming in the third period. Kyle Dorowicz led the way for the Chiefs with two goals and an assist. Kenora scored a late goal with just under a minute and a half remaining, but it was too late. The Red Deer Optimist Chiefs won 5-2 to claim the bronze medal. This is the third time that Red Deer has medaled at the National Midget Championships, earning silver medals in 1994 and 1995.
