Tom Renney statement on Neil Doef injury

CALGARY, Alta. – Tom Renney, president and chief executive officer, today released a statement on Canada East and Smiths Falls Bears (CCHL) forward Neil Doef, who was injured Sunday afternoon in a game at the 2014 World Junior A Challenge in Kindersley, Sask.

“We would like to thank the hockey family for their support during this difficult time, support that has come from across Canada and from around the world. As of today, at the request of the family, we are not able to provide any further details and will when it is deemed most appropriate. We ask the media and public to continue to respect the privacy of the Doef family at this time.”
