Whistler, B.C. – Team White looked to even up the 3-game intersquad series at 1 game apiece with a win Saturday night. They got off to a quick start, notching two quick goals in the first period. Guillaume Latendresse and linemate Benoit Pouliot each tallied to give Team White a 2-0 lead.

Team White added to their lead in the second when Cody Bass stripped the puck away from a defender and scored shorthanded on a breakaway. Red narrowed the lead to two goals as Kris Russell went five-hole on Pelletier. After two periods it was 3-1 White.

White struck first in the third on a goal by Frederik Cabana who ripped a shot past Price. With the score 4-1 in favour of Team White, Red woke up and closed the gap to one goal as Gilbert Brule and Bryan Little scored 1:29 apart. Team Red pulled their goalie for the final minute and peppered Pelletier with shots but could not beat the netminder.

White won 4-3 in front of a sellout crowd at the Meadow Park Sportscentre in Whistler. The rubbermatch will take place Monday night at GM place in Vancouver.
