Game Story

GRANDE PRAIRIE, Alta. – Jakub Rychlovsky scored a hat trick, including the eventual game-winner midway through the third period, and the Czech Republic held off a late push to down the Grande Prairie Storm 6-4 in pre-World Junior A Challenge action on Thursday night. Rychlovsky’s first of the game put the Czechs ahead 4-0 early in the second, but the AJHL side got within a goal with less than three minutes left before Rychlovsky sealed the win into an empty net in the dying seconds.
