Team Canada update

Sam Bennett has been added to Canada’s Men’s Olympic Team for Milano Cortina, replacing Anthony Cirelli.

MILAN, Italy – The Canadian Olympic Committee and Hockey Canada have made the following statement:

Sam Bennett (Holland Landing, ON/Florida, NHL) has been added to the men’s hockey roster for the 2026 Milano Cortina Olympic Winter Games. He will replace Anthony Cirelli (Woodbridge, ON/Tampa Bay, NHL), who is unable to participate due to injury.

Bennett won back-to-back Stanley Cups with the Florida Panthers (2024, 2025), winning the Conn Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP in 2025. In 746 career regular season NHL games, he has recorded 378 points (181 goals, 197 assists), and has added 78 points (40 goals, 38 assists) in 107 playoff games. He also helped Canada win the 2025 4 Nations Face-Off.
